My first post, hopefully it works this time.

I'm a Datsun owner up in Napa, CA. I have a 68 Roadster 1600 and a 71 240z and I love them both. My DD is an 09 WRX 5-door and the lease is up early next year. Trying to decide if I want to go with a Honda Fit or Ford Focus as a DD, or if I want to get another classic. This site makes me want another older car.

I have two cattle dogs that go to work with me and they ride in crates in the back, so a wagon/hatch is a must. I also work in the wine industry and will haul some cases of wine around from time to time, so A/C is also a must. As long as it passes the CA smog tests, I don't mind if it's a pre-smog car or not.

Was looking at 510s, 710s, Corona, and Corolla wagons, also thought I a decent mid 80s Corolla Hatch would be nice if I can find one that hasn't been trashed out drifting. Wanted to get some input and other suggestions from the folks here....seems like a great community.

If I may offer a suggestion... Above is a 1988-1992 Toyota All-Trac Corolla wagon. 4AFE powered(can be swapped for a 4AGE of 16V, or 20V, OR supercharged 4AGZE

i absolutely love my wife's 08 fit sport. fun, "peppy", great handling, great fuel economy (for todays' cars) UNBELIEVEABLE amount of storage.. 71k miles and no major issues, just the few little recalls. it is absolutely a great car, hands-down..

Certainly something to be said about the convenience of a modern ride as a DD. My only concern about the Fit was it's ability to get up hills since they are rather steep on either side of me. But, we'll always have the wife's car for those trips.

Figured having some j-tin (as I've learned it's called around here) would allow me to be without a car payment for the first time in my life. Then I could focus that money toward fun parts for all 3 of the old cars.

How about a Cressida wagon? They have inline 6 power and plenty of interior room for your wine.. they also look great with a slight drop and a set of vintage barrels

And yes, basically what I'm thinking is get one that's in nice shape or restored, a little more aggressive stance and a set of black or gray 15in Rota RBs.
