2000GT/240Z Size Comparo Image?

I recall seeing an image of a 240Z next to a 2000GT a while back, and it might have been on this forum. I've been searching for a while and can't find it, either here or on Google. Anyone have a link to a similar image of the cars back to back?

It'd be worth finding - the 2000GT was significantly smaller than the 240Z. Kind of incredible, really.

Kind of unbelievable, really. :mrgreen:

Never seen them side by side, but a 240Z is a very small car. For the 2000GT to be significantly smaller still would be very odd indeed.

Haha, I perhaps exaggerated. :oops:

I think it's mostly <i>lower</i>. But I think the best way to figure this out is to see that image!

Yeah, but since most 240Z owners lower their cars 3-4" then...

It's actually interesting to compare the two from the top ... many of the proportions (hood length, cabin size) are pretty similar.

There's a tuner in Japan that recently made a 2000GT body, and put it on a 240Z chassis. The replica was done so well you can hardly tell that it's not real! (Except for the RB26 pokin out the hood!) The width of the two cars are the same, the 240Z is just 1" shorter. They had a picture of the replica sitting next to a 240 on the website. I wanna say it was Zero Garage in Japan but I could be wrong!

When Datsun designed the 240Z, they took a lot of cues from the 2000GT (they won't admit that!) among other cars, but they threw in some Italian flair, and wanted the 240 to be more user friendly, hence the taller dimensions.

The company is called Road Star Garage! It's not Zero Garage. They also make a 2000gt body kit for the Mazda Miata :lol:

On their truck, they spelled it Roadster Garage, Tel: 0563 32 0212. No telling what they spell it like on websites, store fronts, or brochures.
They had a display outside the show at the Nagoya dome, they didn't look too bad, not as bad as most of the Fiero kit cars sold over here.

I was going by the link to their ebsite off of Carscoop. That's where I found the article for the 2000GT/240Z. But I didn't see the pic of the two cars together that I was trying to find>
