Known locally "Bo Taboogah" roughly means brick-face for obvious reasons :D

A nice look I have to say so myself!

This guy runs a US-style darts bar in Sendai City (http://hangloosescrappers.com/). Luckily spared by both the earthquake and tsunami (unlike a lot of other classics in the area we saw tossed into other people's houses, or rolled into rice-fields with a fishing boat on top). Please feel free to donate to the Japan Red Cross if you can. They even take PayPal. Arigato. Neko.

Nice work, tremendous setting! Great camera there too... A nice matching set here I think:

Spotted a Nissan Figaro same colour as the one above last week in Perth Western Australia. Rare sight over here and first time I've seen one other than in TV or pictures. Wasn't quick enough to snap a picture though.

Interested to know under what regs they could be exported to Aus. I can see myself in a gray one, with rubber arch extensions, and Watanbe wearing a +1 set... Who needs a Skyline?

So right, but film is so expensive. $6 for a plain roll of 400iso Kodak color? $25 for printing?!

Perhaps! But, a C-41 film (color or B&W), and processing straight to CD (no prints), in 45 minutes costs me JPY700~1200 depending on film quality. The cameras are essentially free, so that's still a lot of film & processing for the price of a new digital camera. Essentially you are correct - it is not as cheap as it used to be, and though disposable film camera sales are going up, real film camera sales are going down for a reason. Making a photograph look good though comes at a price, even if you're a crappy shooter like me. Digital has a rightful place, but how could you possibly waste this scene on digital:

I posted a red Hakosuka a while back, drove by today and the same guy has a 4 door 510 hangin out outside. I would have gotten a pic, but the guy driving didn't want to slow down long enough. :(

I did manage to get this one though. Couldn't read the badge, but I want to say it's a Cedric 230...?
looks to be originally sold in Okinawa as it's LHD.

and although this isn't a car... i just wanted to vent. maybe if the box actually looked better, it wouldn't bother me so much.

I don't know exactly what year this pickup is, but I'm pretty sure it's a toyota, and it has an old toyota bed on it.
some kind of mercedes front end conversion and they bubbled the sides of the cab to match.
It's not that great looking up close, but you can tell there was some time put into it.

there was also a little Kei van sitting next to it with a VW conversion.

I guess the vw conversion is pretty popular with those,
There's about five versions, all the way from 1950 splits to 1960 hippy versions... Tempted as I am, I will avoid peppering here with them. VW fan that I am too.

Here's a nice antidote:
