    Resurrection of Datsun 180B SS P610 GR2 Bandama Rally 1974

    Hello, well I dash! Here is the history(story) of my DATSUN BLUEBIRD 180B 1800 SS GROUP 2... In the 1973s / 1974 MOTOR NISSAN prepared 4 DATSUN BLUEBIRD cut 180B 610 ) 1800 SS Group 2 to participate in reunite AFRICAN in 1973 the EDGAR HERMANN crew / HANS SCHULLER won reunites him(it) of the BANDAMA in Ivory Coast with one of these cars... They were equipped with the prepared engine L18 180CV. In 1974 He(It) left(restarted) with the another 180B to make the mêm reunites. They were 3 eme in the general classification(ranking) to has the special last one or he(it) abandonairent just before the arrival on: " leaky radiator ". The automobile was resold after the running(race) to private pilots(drivers)...

    The automobile still rolled a few years and was champions of reunite Africans then towards the end of year 1976 her was repatriated in France to finish its career(quarry)

    The automobile in run(roamed) until 1983, her(it) ended its life in running(race) on abando: limp in "hoarse" speed... The automobile was resold to a garage owner for "room"("part","play")... He(it) left her(it) with the ambandon during 20 years in a field next to a river which extended beyond twice The automobile fu imergée twice the last one of which was in 2009! In 2010 the automobile was resold and had left in the SOUTHWEST of FRANCE.. The last year the lad who bought him(it) contacted me to help him(it) to restore her(it).. But, he(it) was more motivated resold me and one month ago and she(it) left(restarted) to me in Marseille in the South of FRANCE... My project it is to make her(it) relive(live again,live again)...

    Here is in the state where I found the automobile in BORDEAUX in the southwest of FRANCE...








    Chassis NO.: KP610 - 157074 [you will notice that there is "L" in the type(chap) of the vehicle because "L" indicates(appoints): Model with conduct(driving) to the left "L" = LEFT. this automobile has the conduct(driving) to the right as in Driving JAPAN: TYPE : L18 => 1.8L & N° : 52424





    Its engine, it is good his, version manufactures in more as in the time(period)

    The stirrups of brake 4 pistons are the same that those of the DATSUN 240Z factory of time(period)





    The automobile is equipped with a radiator of oil " CALSONIC " as the DATSUN 240z of running(race)!

    Wheel rims are ENKEI magnesium


    In this bucket seat has renowned pilots(drivers) there who one put them "buttocks" inside








    The cardre aluminium Allowed to maintain 3 spare wheels upright, the reservoir with fuel is in a nasty state

    The bay(berry) under the glasses AR is drilled by the rust:affraid: needs to redo completely this part(party) [the junction of the amount of windscreen AVG with the roof idem]


    The bottom it is who(which) the most suffered, normal for a racing car. Positive there has always armour-plate for the engine and the deck back, that it is a good blow

    HE(IT) has needed to re-assemble the automobile to be able to return her(it) in Marseille (700 kilometers to return to Marseille)



    As I had an exhibition(exposure), one week later I have of to clean her(it) and to put back(hand) all the rooms(parts,plays) above to make her(it) fit to be seen...


    Well the 1st day ré assembly of the automobile in anticipation of its exhibition in Avignon MOTOR festival 2012... The driving compartment is rotted well...


    Reassembly fires(lights) AR more the only one calle feet due to surviving shock AR and both handles of meintien on the well tired suitcase Back ...
