    Curry House C110

    Hi all,

I came across pics of the car below as it stands today on another thread but now can't locate... if you know, please let me know and we can maybe ask one of the moderators to move these pics into that thread?

The pic above was taken in Spring 2003.

I came across this car in Spring 2002 when through the grapevine I heard that one of the guys in the SoCal AE86 community had found it in a San Gabriel valley domestic car junkyard without any badges. He recognized it immediately and bought it on the spot. He had it towed to his place in San Bernardino County and that's when rumors about its existence started spreading. I heard about it through a mutual friend and made arrangements to see the car.

The AE86 guy had no intention of restoring it - he just wanted to sell it and make a profit.
I offered all the cash I had on hand at the time but he refused to sell it to me.
I was allowed to poke around it and take pics.

It had a built L28 Turbo and lots of goodies in the engine bay, but the rear glass was blown out, and interior was almost completely gone.

At the time I was spending a lot of time hanging out at a shop in CulverCity run by an SCCA guy who when I showed him pics of it, thought he remembered it from SoCal club racing in the 80s.

I came across the car in 03 at the MSA Z show in Orange (CA) and met its then new owner who was going to swap out the original L28 Turbo for an SR20... then I lost track of the car and its owner. If the car is still in LA, and the owner is on the Forum, then hit me up - I'd love to see it (running) for old time's sake...

    E,

I don't think the owner is a member but hes good friends with a few members on here. Also vintage skyline owners.

I saw the car while out in social few years back. Very cool car I must say w/lots of history. There are a bunch of videos on youtubes of this car.

If anyone wants to do some digging in SCCA archives... it used to compete in Fireston Firehawk series in the 80s
I don't know who drove it back then, but it would be neat to find out.

I am the current owner. I has been an adventure with this car since i bought it from Mike around 2006 from finding parts, registration, multiple engine pulls, and endless fabricating. Temperamental, almost like it has a personality of its own or a ghost that follows it haha. Anyways I am doing my best to keep the Skyline running on the street like it should be and prepping for abuse like it wants to be. Thank you for all the pictures and info on my beloved car. More info the better.
