    NZ HR30 Skyline RB30DET build thread

    Hey people im from New Zealand and Stagefumer11 directed me to this site so I though I would join in the fun!
    Anyway I am building a HR30 Nissan Skyline Sedan with a RB30DET motor in it! Its still a work in progress but hope to have it going in around 6 or so months(lol but how many times have i said that :mrgreen: ) So here are some pics of what I have done and brought so far:

    The day I got it, took springs out and some wheels on for a photo


    Test fitting/dummying some parts


    Testing/dumying some more brake suspension parts



    Borrowed a mates 18x9.5 Work wheel for a test/size up(wish they were mine lol

    And a 17x8


    Some rust repairs I did



    My intercooler


    Weight reduction/sound deadning removal. yay few kgs out



    Made a start on seam/stich welding and stregthening the front end



    A little panel progress


    My clutch


    My turbo(Master Power T61 650hp) Wastegate(38mm Tial but may go bigger yet) and BOV(Greddy/Trust Type-R

    The works look insane, even more so if they had an iron-mask front end :P hop to it mate.

    Im guessing youve gone RB30E bottom end and RB25 head?

    Yeah wish they were mine! But when its going I will be able to borrow them occasionaly. Yep its a R31 RB30E S2 bottom end with a R33 S3 RB25DE head fully rebuilt and lightly tickled over all and should make a easy 300rwkw

    Thanks. Yea will keep the updates coming but wont be doing any work to the car for a couple of months as I need parts now and its in storage so will slowly collect them and get back into it at a later date

    A few more parts purchased: 58mm alloy radiator, new HKS water temp gauge and sender, autometer phantom oil pressure and 30psi boost gauge. Next I think ill try get a Bosch 044 fuelpump when money frees up again

    300rwkw should be easily achieveable with the right tune dude. Close mate of mine has the same setup in his R33 but with an XR6 Turbo mod'd with an external gate, made 320rwkw on E85/bout 20psi from memory i think. And yes, its fucking fast/scary.

    You planning on running it on PULP or something else? 044 might be a touch too small...

    Yea I kinda know that 300rwkw is easy enough with my setup but dont wana toot my own horn lol haha but it should be on alot lower boost acording to my tuner he says 290-310rwkw should be about 14-16psi and 18-20psi should be 350rwkw and thats with at least 550cc injectors and the nessicery supporting mods
