Another Youngin - '88 Galant Sigma

I recently got my hands on a US 1988 Galant Sigma:

She needs a bit of cleanup of on the outside - the previous owner went nuts with black spray paint, and there is overspray everywhere :x , but otherwise the body is very straight and the interior is very clean. The motor runs very well, too, especially for having over 330,000 miles

Anyway, I'm hoping to glean more information about her, especially equivalents in other countries such as Australia and the Philippines.

    Nice score!

It looks amazing considering it's gone over 300K.

There was some talk in another thread about unloved cars, now theres an un-loved car! Cool to see one still running. There is one in a yard in my hometown that has not moved for about nine years and I fear it is WAY to far gone to even consider reserecting!

In the UK, these were called Mitsubishi Sapporo (though unrelated to the 2-door Galant Lambda, also called Sapporo here) and are very rare! They came with a lot of gadgets.

Did a bit of cleanup - major oil leak was finally fixed (was literally pouring out oil at what was left of the camshaft seals)

Took off some of the overspray from the mirrors and bumper that the previous owner did. Also stripped the black paint off of the wheels:

looks good man. There is a white 88 sigma here at the local u pull it mostly complete right now. Kinda interesting its called the sigma, but the back has galant lambda on it. I need to find one of those lambda badges though.

My car actually had the greek Sigma symbol on the trunk, but it was stolen.
