Awesome! It's good to see positive, informative articles about our hobby. Thankfully, there is no comments section. :P

Pretty cool. I'm glad it didn't get vandalized. In other news, I just learned DeLoreans are in fact not American and will thus have to rearrange my HotWheels collection.

Yes. The cars were built in Northern Ireland with the Queen's money so they're welcome at any British car show.

The DeLorean is a Lotus Esprit, backward... Or maybe, that's inside out, actually. Both cars use the same box/backbone frame (which works tremendously better on lighter cars than either of the above are/became). The DeLorean was designed by, or with input from Lotus. The DeLorean is rear engined, the Esprit MR. Both are Giugiaro designed, both can successfully be recreated by the skilled origami artist.

Nothing I love to see more than a survivor  I consider my car a survivor, though recently I find it difficult to refer to it as that as, all my maintenance could nearly have equalled the restoration of a car initially in lesser shape

As much as I love modifications, a big part of my interest in old cars period is being able to see something the way it was precisely, and connect with the past through the minute details that get lost through the decades when a car is torn apart and put together again... It is in that light, in view of the context that they were created for, that IMO Japanese cars may be viewed as the finest 8)
