    supracelicas on a te72 wagon

New to the forums and really need some help. I've got a 83 te72 wagon and I've got a pair of celica supra wheels that I want to fit on, the only problem is that they don't fit on so well. I test fitted them this morning and they didn't sit right. Its a combination of a couple of things but I wanted to know how other people have fit 14x7 celicasupras on their te70's. The thing that I'm having trouble with it that it seems like my wheel studs are too short, not sure if I need to buy some new ones that are longer, or if I'm doing something wrong fitting them on.

The other side fact that I'm worried about with my wheels and tires is that I think they maybe too big. 235/60r14 I think maybe too thick to fit under the front finders. It doesn't help that they front is sitting on lowering springs from the previous owner and I have no idea how much its dropped.

So I.. am clueless, honestly am.

if they are hitting the struts then you need to space them out. if your studs are too short then you probably actually need a short shank mag wheel lug nut. i dont know anything about corollas or supra wheels though so i may be completely full of smoke.

the Supra type wheels have a supra type of wheel nut. The bottom half of the nut slips in to the wheel. In the photo below the narrower part of the bolt(below the washer) slips inside the larger wheel nut hole

235 is way to big a tire. Best fit would be a 195/60/14.

Thank you, That is what it was. I feel kind of stupid now not just seeing how having the lug nuts on would be. I kind of wanted to use the locking wheel nuts I have but I guess I can go out and get a set if I really need them.

Thanks for your help, as soon as I get new tires it will be up in picture form.
