    1976 mazda 121

got the car about 1 year and a half ago.
this is on the day i got her.

this is a week later after just fixing things like the radio fuses and fog lamps

a few mounths later replaced clutch master and slave cylinders and painted the rims.

then rebuilt the engine and carbi.
    replaced all 4 brake disc's and rotor's
and referbished bits and peaces of trim and stuff.

spent ages hunting down some wheels for her.
was referd to a set of work equip 01s from a very awsome dude on this forum.
fitted them and decided it looked weird as the suspension sat 1 inch lower in the rear then the frount.
turns out this is how its suposed to be aparently so i had lowerd it 3 inchs in the frount and 2 in the back and new dampers to match.

above was taken at jdmst meet last year.
then i painted the head light surrounds to the way thay should be.
the car was ran into at the beach nice ig dent hazard of using it as a daily

that is how the car sits at the momment still needs some interior retriming and the dent and small amount of rust repaird.
    getting a quote soon.

Looks great! I love this bodystyle and the Equip 01s are some of my favourite wheels of all time.

Manage to find the dizzy parts yet? Or did you just take the plunge and buy the one on Ebay?
I'm still jealous of this thing. Despite it's little blemishes it still manages to make my car look like rolling scrap lol :P

Wow!! Mazda 121? Never new these existed, especially here in the States where no one hardly appreciates the RX5/Cosmos.

Whats the Chassis Prefix? How common are they? I'm intrigued!!

Very nice and tidy, had one, 70s pimp to the max (made me want to grow the mustache).

keeping the eye on the back panel and front guards is the key with these (rear lights leak and rust back panel - not of the greatest of designs)

    these are CD body coded.

as far as i know US got both the 121s the RX5 shape (as above) and the Landau

    Re: 1976 mazda 121

still havent found a dizzy and still unshore about getting the one off ebay as its for the tc not vc engine.
starting to look like the only option though.

no rust in the back panel yet and i found out why today when i whent to get a quote.
i whent to a panel beater after he was refferd to me. turns out his wifes dad used to own it and this guy whent nuts on it haveing the hole car coeted in fish oil and so on.
but this wasnt enof to stop rust under the rear window. the little rust spots on hood and bonnet ( and i do mean little ) have happend due to the adhisive that holds the bonnet and hood togeather has come apart alowing it to rust.
waiting to find a hood and bonnet before we can start.
    ps i did grow a mustache :P

Don't get the TC dizzy, look for anything NA, VC, MA powered, or early FE if you want an electronic dizzy
