    pics of my 1972 Skyline

just wanted to finally post up some pics of my car, ive been a member since i bought it, and have never really posted much to show it off. so heres what i got

first time i saw it. it was hidden away in his garage, tucked away for 9 years. its a little rough, but has a LOT of potential.

has 15" Wat's on it (no surprise there) BUT i love them. heres the rears..

    LOVE the stance!

L20 nothing to really look at tho, has the SU's on it still, the seller had Weber DCOE 40's on it till they decided to sell the car, then after i bought the car my buddy ended up with the carb's/ manifold, and gave that to me for Christmas <3!

Speaking of! here's the triple DCOE 40's and the FET Manifold. ive finally sourced the stuff to replace the linkage system, and now i'm working on getting all the internals that were missing.. jets etc.
i'm assuming the original owner pulled the carbs to rebuild them, then either got frustrated, or just lost all the parts, so its a pain in the ASS to just go in and buy jets without really knowing WTF i need..

first real repair i made was replacing the blown master cylinder/reservoir
went with a much larger unit, and spacer to make it all fit. it was a serious PITA to get it in and bled, but the brakes are GREAT on it.

    out with the old.....
    in with the new!

the tranny was up next, pulled that to replace the clutch, and throw in a lightweight flywheel while it was out.

i guess i didnt take pics of the before on the tranny, but heres what it looked like from below.. pretty gnarly..
but here's the cleaned version. ready to go back in hopefully this weekend.

and a new slave that i added, also bought steel-braided slave line, but i will post pics after i install it.

just picked up a pair of Longchamp XR-4's for the fronts, i hate that my front wats dont have any kind of lip to them. will post pics of those at a later date, along with pics of my carbs as they progress. one is looking awesome!

also bought new tranny bushings, the old ones were about 40 years old, so they had to go.. bought some really nice one from the auctions. pics to come.

Hey Wooky, can you tell us a bit more about the wheels and tyres? i see they are 15" Wats, but how wide etc?
I also have 15" Watties but the rears are 8.5 " running 265x 50x 15". Yours look way better to me!
