My engine bay shave and tuck on my 81 Accord

I've posted this on 3geez but I figured I would share this in here as well Nothing extreme, just a quick shave, tuck and respray.

Fiberglassed the unneded holes (I can't weld )

    Bondoed over

    Strut towers as well :tu:

And yes, I'm doing this with the engine in. I have no tools to get pull the engine out, so...

Took the battery tray off. My initial plan is to relocate the battery in the trunk, but then I realized that the cables are expensive so the battery is staying in the bay I'm totally broke when I'm doing this and so far I've spent like US$100 for the supplies. The most expensive part would be the slim fan haha.

    I have to

    Sanded

That SOAB booster is a PITA to get off with the dash still in the car ><

Made a hole for the harness to go through from the body to the bay :tu:

    Stock grommet!

Some random battery tray I found at the parts store. Its made of plastic instead and it bolts up.

    The slim fan :tu:

Too small though :tu: I ended up using this as the pusher fan mounted in front of my AC condenser and saving my money for a bigger puller fan for the radiator

    Wiring fun

Replaced 90% of the wires with the new stuffs since the old one is corroded pretty bad.

    Buncha relays for:
    1) Power windows
    2) AC blower
    3) Starter solenoid
    4) Headlamps
    5) High beams
    6) Fogs
    7) Horns

Wellll theres more for my AC compressor and my fans

I've been here and pretty much every other classic Honda forums for a lot longer than you think. I've been a lurker here for a while then I finally decided to register last year.
