    Phillip island Classic 2011

    G'day,

an estimated 60 million bucks worth of cars were entered in this years classic- over 500 cars. then there were hundreds of cars in the club display area, and many weren't cheap.
The Classic is a "festival" of all classic motor racing - cars come out from the Porsche museum every year, and these and many other International cars stay for the Formula 1 GP next week.

These are just a few- i have more to upload soon

Not Japanese so don't look if you don't care, but:

Out of all of the Lemans cars, f5000, old touring cars and display cars - IMO best sounding, best looking, and my favourite machine of the day and was the Dan Gurney designed and built 1966-68 F1 "Anglo American Racers - Gurney Weslake V12". This has a hell of a lot of history to it and is considered one of if not the nicest F1 machines ever made. I'm sure some of the Americans on here know of it:

GBG does your club get invited for the club displays, or do you volunteer or does it work some other way?

I would like to get our Toyota guys down there next year.
