    1983 civic S progress thread.

    Hello everyone.
I am starting a new thread to document the progress of my 1983 civic S.
this is how she sat the day i got her.

within a few hours i got the "old person driver" decal put on. I bought it from Kyoei USA in Tempe. the Historic plates are copper and i think it is my favorite mod so far!

that night i also installed a new stereo.
the car had damage on the trim around the doors so i took it off, did some minor body work to straighten both sides out and painted it satin black.

I was able to find a parts car for the civic at a local pick and pull yard. A 1983 civic 1300. the car is pretty complete, minus the wheels and door guard trim.

I was able to take a few pieces i was looking for.
included is all side markers and blinker lenses. headlight door trim pieces, the deck lid for the rear hatch, a vanity mirror, and the metal body piece that goes below the grill.
my rear driver side marker was broke so i replaced it with my new found treasure. (the pic is of the broken one)

that is it for now. hopefully this thread keeps going as long as my car has been running!

    thanks for looking.

Nice car! These sorts of projects are fun, you can drive and enjoy them and work on little trim bits as you go.

I like the little lip. Is that standard, or did you make it yourself?
