    Lowering a '76 corolla wagon

Hey guys I'm new here, I just picked up a 1976 corolla wagon and I'm looking to get it pretty low. The previous owner installed 3 inch blocks in the back and cut the front springs. I know this isn't going to be everyones cup of tea, but how do I go about slamming this thing?

It's already lowered! It sounds like the right stance.

yea that sounds about how low my 'rona wagon is. see for yourself though in my sig. if its not low enough put another block on it and chop the springs up some more lol.

so the only way to lower these cars really is by blocks and cutting springs? I guess i really need to get my new wheels on there and see if im happy with the height or not

I mean thats the easiest and cheapest way. If you feel like fabricating a lot of custom stuff or have the money to have it done you can go coilovers or bags. just switch to a four link in the rear and youre set. but thats much easier said than done.

    lowering

the cheapest way to lower it is to cut the springs but the best way would be some coilovers and RCA's for the front. Call them to make sure they fit for yours. They are not too expensive.

    Coilovers straight from Ground-Control

Also tighten your suspension up with a Strut Tower Brace (2nd gen Mitsu Eclipse fits this but double check and compare your measurements before ordering) and front and rear sway bars (ADDCO of you can find them but there are other companies)
For the rear, the lowest you can go is 4" lowering blocks and youll scrape everywhere so go 3" or less. Just use this link and you have to modify a little bit but it will do fine.

Other than that a 4 link can be used in the back in place of the old leaf springs but get someone that knows how to do it.
You can also get single leaf fiberglass leafsprings to get rid of all that weight and lower it even more

wow thats some great info, thank you very much. to be honest I'll probably go with 4 inch blocks and check into coilovers from BRD Racing in Taylorsville, NC about two hours from me.
