    rx3 sedan resto

    Hi all thought it was about time i put up some pics of the rx3
    gonna be a big job but will be well worth it when i can stand back and say i did the lot

    top of cowl removed to fix rust in the base of both pillars and the 12a bridge port installed to make sure it still runs

    Wow, big job there, but I love your car and the challenge !

    I see its got the rust in all the typical places, actually once you start replacing the panels most of the rust will disappear. You're lucky that sedan panels arent too hard to find unlike coupe stuff.

    There was a guy on Ausrotary trying to sell a really rusty sedan (Jay??) several months ago. He wanted a fortune for a rusty shell, is this the same car ? Everythings fixable but I dont think he understood how much $$ and time had to be spent to bring the car up to scratch. It only really had chassis number value to most people.

    nah i bought this shell about 18 months ago, all the rust was covered with bog and primer

    Hey mate,

    Welcome aboard, gee a old Mazda filled with bog, you don't see that every day in OZ, NOT!!!

    My R100 looked mint but pulled out a lump of bog over an inch thick even though the bloke swore it was a good shell!!

    Was the 12A a runner?

    blew a bit of smoke till all the carbon and oil from storage was burnt but runs as good as the day it was built now
    built/ported by craig dyson ten years ago been sitting in storage for 8 years

    situated in country victoria

    plans are to have the rx done registered in time for summer next year
