JNC has no title, how do I get one?

Hi, I found a rare JNC for a good price but the car has no title. Is it possible to apply for another one or is it a lost cause?

Unfortunately, all states have slightly different rules on that.

    How it works in texas:

Most of the time, you have to apply for what's called a "bonded" title. This means you put up a bond, and they send the last registered owner a certified letter that they either need to come claim the car or release the title.

Most of the time the last registered owner never even responds (unless it's stolen). Then they issue you an amended title that you can't transfer for at least one year.

Step one is calling your local DMV and asking them. They will know exactly what you need to do. :tu:

Thanks, I went to the DMV today and the lady told that I could file for a bonded title, but there's a great deal of paperwork with it. I'm split between buying it and dealing with the paperwork or just leaving it where it is. Its a hell of deal though.

Well you have to file for a bond If you want your car secure ...And its compulsory in every part of the world that the car must have a title..

I'd say save the poor car. It will all be worth it in the end. Curious to know what kind of car it is?

I've been talking to the guy that has the car and he says that it will be crushed the first of the year if no one gets it. I think I might have to save this car.
