christmas came early for me and my hako!!

so a buddy called me two weeks ago and told me he picked something up for me for Christmas, but i had to wait till he could clean it up. i couldnt think of anything i would need for the car that would require cleaning, but i said .. uhh ok?

got a call today to come by and pick up my gift..

triple weber 40DCOE's on FET manifold.
just need to order a jet kit, and three rebuilds, intake mani gasket, some links for the throttle linkage, and an L hose adaptor instead of all three carbs having the T fittings.

i know a lot of guys like the 45's, but im definitely not going to complain about free 40's, and i've read that 40's are totally fine for a nice mild street tune.

i guess the guy that sold me the car wanted to hold onto these, and he saw my buddy and offered them to him for payment for something, so they are probably already tuned perfectly for my car. we will see after the new year when i have the car on the road.

hey Kev, where did you get your links from?

    I had one of those

Great thing about the FET manifold is that it's really well made. The linkages are much better IMHO than most other kits. However, they have a 30mm runner for L20 application, and are too small for L28 (which have 36mm ports).

But I think I still have the old FET links, so if you really need em, drop me a PM. I think you're missing one arm on the jackshaft too tho

i picked up a battery powered dremel today to try to get some polishing done on these, hope the speed is slow enough to get it done without leaving the finish looking burnt..
