    headlight condensation

    hi everyone, i just recently picked up a first gen crx and it has water condensation inside one of the headlights. does anyone have any tips for getting the water out? i do believe the headlights are glass if that makes a difference

    The condensation is usually because of a "leak" in the light. Only real options are to disassemble and reseal (tricky job), or buy new ones. :cry:

    Unless of course the leak is something obvious, like a crack in the housing?

    theres no obvious crack or anything that i can find, i cant see the first image that u posted datsunfreak but i can see the second pic and those are not what my headlights look like. id rather try to fix them then buy a new set. so what exactly would it take to fix them, just disassemble the headlights and use like an epoxy or something to seal them back together? thanks for the reply's guys!

    Exactly. And if they have vent tubes, make sure they aren't clogged up. :tu:

    yeah, check the vents first. those should be clear. if they aren't that could very well be the fog issue.

    hmmm never heard of vent tubes lol, im guessing they are on the back of the headlight near the headlight bulb?

    Yeah, little rubber elbow, usually just above the bulb socket. :tu:
