1977 Mitsubishi Galant Sigma GXL 2000 Automatic.

Hi! Me and my brother found a couple of months ago an old Mitsubishi Galant. We bought it and now we are about to restore it. There's only one problem.
There are only one of these cars in Finland and it's the one we have!!!

So it may be useless to say that parts are easy to find. That's why I'm asking, is there a online shop where you can order parts for a car like this. I have heard that these cars are very popular in Australia and in New Zealand.

Our car is very rusted and we propably have to change all the body panels.

All the rubber sealants and chassis parts can be bought from finland, but things like the doors, fuel pump and bumbers are impossible to find.

    This model?

Yes we also have plenty of these around. Quite a lot in scrapyards too. I maybe be able to help with small parts. Never ship big items overseas but I could give it a try. Oh I have a pair of fender mirrors for this model if you are interested.

Please list the parts you are after and I'll try finding them. Some parts are still available brand new but have to dig deep

Yes that's the one. I listed everything I need to get this car into a grade A original shape.

    - "Mitsubishi" amblem for the grill.
    - New grill
    - "Sigma" amblems
    - Rear bumber (with both rubber ends)
    - original tools, jack and antenna.
    - original steering wheel
    - GXL doorpanels (White vinyl/brown)
    - Windshield
    - Drivers side instrument cover (The cover under the dashboard)
    - New fuel pump
    - rear mudflaps
    - Drivers sidemirror (BLACK)
    - Drivers sunvisor
    - Roofs right trimlist.
    - AND THE MOST IMPORTANT. DOORS WITH NO RUST. ALL FOUR.

Ask if you don't understand everything. And there's no hurry. I'm working already on a three cars right now

i've got a parts car at the moment as im making one good sigma out of two.

    but im in New Zealand

i guess i could send some of the light parts your way?
what type of steering wheel do you want? they vary between trim levels
i have a basic (GL?) steering wheel
and some other things but the parts vary lots.
like the latter bumpers are squarer
is yours twin round headlight or twin square?

all my doors are rusted sorry

i'll take some pictures for you when it stops raining if you want?

also a new fuel pump for your 4g52 sigma has been coming and going on our local internet auction site, Trademe, but its not there at the moment.

I could help with the small parts. I'll ask a friend about the 'big' parts.

Like CHEESE said, parts varies from model to model so if you can show photos of the ones you are looking for, that'll be a great help.

That's very nice to hear that you and your brother have the skills in repair for that project. It only makes me believe that there are many good auto repair specialists in the world. Way back then I was a too weak dummy when I can't even fix my own car. My friends laughed and teased me about that and I wonder how would I do anything for my car. I used a lot of things but the thing that gave me the most advantage was studying the auto repair manuals and applying these on my car. With it I was able to repair my car and from that moment I was able to add some upgrades.
