my rx2 project

I brought this 1973 rx2 in 1994ish give or take a few years. The photo is on 35mm film.
Found some more photos.[img][/img] Donor roof. [img][/img] When she came back from sand blasting. [img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img] Then she went into storage for 12 years or so.

[img][/img] These are the shots of her after the 12 year sleep. A rough covered in surface rust.[img][/img]
[img][/img] [img][/img] [img][/img] As you can see primer makes a good sponge. [img][/img] So the 2010 episode starts. [img][/img] The doors had been sitting here getting a lot of surface rust. [img][/img] [img][/img] Engine bay got a make over. Then I got stuck into the body work with alot of long board sanding. [img][/img][img][/img] [img][/img] [img][/img] [img][/img] [img][/img] [img][/img] Then the bonnet stripped back to treat bad surface rust with rust converter. [img][/img] [img][/img] A few shots of running gear. [img][/img] [img][/img] 12a 6 port i got for $800 with an auto gear box the guy thought the motor was stuffed because it was blowing a small amount of smoke. All it was was the vacum valve on gearbox was broken and it was sucking auto fluid into the motor. A trap for young players. [img][/img] Rx7 5 speed rebuilt and ready to go.
