    an Australian SHERPA with mags:

    and its engine:

And finally a picture of my 88 Justy:

Yes I was hoping that by posting pictures of the older Sherpas/rex compared to the original Justy would show the simularity. I believe that when Subaru first produced the Rex in Front wheel drive that its design was carried forward all the way to 2006 in various forums and models. The original Rex had a 2 cylinder engine as did the Sherpa. The first model of Justy looked very simular, especially from the side. However the Justy was made more for export. It was made with a wider body to accomidate a larger 3 cylinder engine. In 1989 the justy got a new body skin till it was no longer produced for the 1995 model year( manufactured in 94).Around this time Subaru made a deal with a Chinese company to produce a car that looks like a redo of the Sherpa. The Yunque Wow, with funky plastic body panels and rear spoilers. It was made in a width that was between the the Sherpa and the Justy. And it had the modern EN07 Japanese Rex motor that had 4 cylinders.

So would anybody here have any info at all about the Sherpa /rex 2 cyl engine? I beleive it was called an EK-42 and displaced 665cc. Need to know bore-stroke and cylinder bore spacing. Flywheel diameter-Same as Justy? Pics of a disassembled engine would be great too!

I managed to download an '84 Sherpa factory workshop manual from somewhere?
Were the Justy front wheels also supported by their driveshafts through the wheelbearings in the front carriers with seperate slide-on hubs for the discs to bolt onto?
