    1978 Toyota Cressida

    Hi!
I'm going to buy this one-owner -78 Cressida if the owner and I agree about the price . has 93000Km/57000miles on the clock. Well served and a good runner
This is going to be my second Japanese classic, beside my Mazda 1500 estate.

Please help me with facts about this model, since I know nothing about them. I've been to busy with my 4 Ford Granada before 8)

Was almost 100% clean and straight in the body until last winter, when a tractor, clearing snow, hooked the snowblade to the car's rear bumper and pushed it in to the wall. resulting in a smashed left front guard, right headlight, and dents in the left doors, and of course smashed rear tail light and dent in the bumper where the blade hit it.

More and better pictures are coming when the owner of the car gets home, so I can get inside the car, and move it around.

Wow, a manual transmission one too!

That is the front grille I want for my car.

And what are those things sticking out infront of the headlights?

If i remember right, we had only the 4 sylinder model here in Norway
    so i think this is a RX30 (18R engine) not a MX32

Yes, manual transmisson. That's most common in Norway, on all cars. I came over a car like this with automatic transmission, and had the opposite thought: Wow, an automatic ....

The not good looking things infront of the headlights are washer for the headlights, similar to what all cars have on the windshield.

In first place: save it from the scrapyard. The owner "gave up" the car after the tractor hit it, and think it's just a wreck after that :?
In second place: I'm an original-freak, so the further plans for the car, since it's in so good condition, is to get it straight and shining again!

I also think we only got the 4 cylinder models here in Norway!
But when it comes to letters and numbers, like RX30 and MX32, I don't have a clue, and that's why I asked for more info. So thank's!

As You can see, I'm in need of some parts, like right headlight, right tail light, rear bumper, left frontguard, and so on. So if You know about some useful bits in Norway, I'm happy to get a PM

The first letter indicates the engine R=4 syl, M=6syl (the crown engine)

If you need som parts you can try TSCN.NO forum

Btw: the celica you worked on, is it on the road yet?

    Thanks for the info!

Hmm .. You must think of someone else, because I haven't worked on any Celica in my whole life ..
I don't have any relations to Toyota before, except a beat up, rusty -96 Hi-Ace diesel
