    1974 Corolla Fusible Link

Hey peeps: Finally got my car out of storage and wanted to replace the positive battery cable. A while back, someone tried giving me a jump and had his cables reversed, which tripped the fusible link. I got the car running by bypassing the link, and I could never find a replacement. The other day, I replace the cable (without a link, of course) and now the wires become INCREDIBLY hot to the touch and start melting themselves. Major fire hazard. I drove the car a couple miles and noticed this, so I parked it right away.

NO ONE seems to have the part anymore, or an equivalent. (no 90982-08063) What to do? Help!

    And it's a TE27 (SR-5) in case you're wondering.
