    Early Accord Design Sketch

I just came upon this early sketch on the Honda Worldwide site and wanted to share it. I can't help but notice that the rear 3/4 view bares a strikingly resemblance to the AMC Pacer. Here is a link to the Honda Worldwide story about the development of the first generation of Accords if you are interested. http://world.honda.com/history/challeng ... index.html

Good find. Looks like early Accords were meant to roll on deep dish wheels

They were also supposed to be RWD, and be a competitor with the Mustang. If only... but then they would probably be way cooler and I wouldn't be able to have mine.

Looks an awful lot like the shape of a 1971 Ford Pinto:

That seems about right... since the mid 70s Mustang IIs were slow 4 cylinder shitboxes to begin with.

No way they could've competed with the V8 Stangs.

Although, for reliability, I'd go with the Honda.
