Not a junkyard find, but a field find

Used to be a junkyard, now is just an empty field with a bunch of fiat and MG corpses strewn about. Did find these, trying to figure out who owns the field. I may just 'rescue' them.

The QPs are rusty, but whole. Well, not really the driver's side has a few pinholes on the top near the trunk edge. They have never been on a car and were just laying in the grass. The yard has not been active for at least 5-10 years. The newest plate I saw was 98. There was an MR2 with its 4AGE still intact as well. Hopefully, I may have some 1st gen QPs soon.

Yeah, they are all over the place here. I used to have a friend that owned a wrecker service. He made most of his money 'cleaning' up old junkyards. Also, I work at a TV station in the news department. I fly in the helicopter alot. Amazing what you can find looking down from 1000 feet up. GPS is a great invention. Write down the lat long while you are flying and then check google maps later.

I guess anyone could walk around, if they knew the super secret location!!! Really, there is not much there Toyota-wise. There is a four door Tercel and an 1st gen FWD Celica GT and that is about it for Toyota stuff. There is alot of junk. I mean it is junk, scrap, toast. Mostly MGs and Fiats. Even then, there isn't anything really savalageable from those as well. There is a fence, but there is no gate. There aren't any 'No Trespassing' signs anywhere on the property. That is why I am thinking I can just go 'rescue' the QPs. Pretty much, what you see in the background of the QP shot is all there is. There are a couple, much better operational 'old' junkyards around the city. This one was just so extrodinary of a find, two rusty NOS 1st gen celica QPs sitting in a field!!!

FWIW the Fiat in the background is a 79 or later 2 litre. The rears in those were pretty bad. I used to sell used ones for $500, and that was 15 years ago. If it has a rear in it....
