Anyone who has driven in the snow will appreciate these pics. This is from the first snowstorm in DC two weeks ago. I drove my 77 280Z up to Cumberland, Md. with a friend who bought a 73 240Z. When we arrived the 1-3" predicted had already fallen and was heading for 12". We left the 240Z in Cumberland and expect to tow it back to No. Va. at the end of this month.
With a full tank of gas the 280Z was able to get up and down the hills while passing several cars whose owners simply gave up. The guy parked in the center lane on I-68 in his 350Z while chatting on his cellphone was irritating. Then there was the Mercedes SLK who pulled off onto the shoulder only to get stuck. The semi getting crossed up in the lane next to the Z was also memorable--thank goodness for traction.
In any event here are the pics from the drive back to Bethesda from Cumberland. These were taken while driving on I-68 heading towards I-70:
These are at the outrageously priced Exxon off of Old Georgetown Rd. at Democracy Blvd.:
