Daamn, that is a lot of miles. I thought 208 on my camry was high, but that puts me to shame.

Incredible condition for having 458K miles on the odometer! I'm surprised to see OE hose clamps. Very nice!

hello, pretty much stock, aside from mods mentioned,
another one though, also replaced the clutch fan with a flex fan and adaptor from LC eng'g, hows the cobra? my plan if when the 22R quit is to swap in a 90-96 Lexus/toyota 1UZFE, ive seen a lot of these swap down under in australia, on anything toyota body, so thats in future :tu:

The Cobra swap is progressing. I have steering to finish. Very tight fit causing all kinds of interferences. I just picked up the remaining smog parts that were crushed in the donor car. That brings me to your next comment on your 1UZFE plans. Unlike the Aussies, keep in mind that you will have to use all the stock smog parts from your donor Lexus including the auto tranny and ECU. You will be converting your Celica to be the Lexus in every way for smog inspection. If you follow www.lextreme.com , a friend of mine is doing just that with a '83 RA65C Celica. I just do not care for automatic transmissions in any kind of performance vehicle because I like being able to overdrive it as you only can with a stick.
