    1987 Mazda RX-7 base model..

Here is my 1987 RX-7 base model. I have owned this car for just about 2 years now. It was bought from the original owner with 92k miles on it. This guy even had the paperwork that I love: window sticker, original MSO certificate, purchase order and PDI checklist.

He was oil change freak which is great for any RX-7; he changed the oil every 2k miles and I have managed to keep up with the schedule. It has received some new parts since I have owned it and there is a small bag of goodies from the Mazda dealer waiting to be installed. Who knows maybe this year it will get the new exhuast system it needs.

The first day February 2, 2008:

After I installed some MSW's w/ 215/60/15 tires from one of my old Z cars:

    With new 205/55/15 Falkens:

Here it is with the Epsilons (225/50/16 and 245/45/16) from my 82 280ZX hardtop:

+1 more on the epsilons but now you just need to lower the car a bit :tu:

Epsilons are 16x7 w/225/50/16 on the front and 16x8 245/45/16 on the rear.

They are not currently installed on the RX-7. I was going to install them on my 240SX coupe
but that might be sold next month.

Thx man the reason I asked is I have a 86 base model. And was wondering if I should switch to a 5 lug and go with the S5 T2 rims or the Vert rims you know?

The two wheel types you mention are both 5 lug wheels--I would keep the 4 lug
hubs and buy a set of Enkei Classic Mesh wheels.

I love the four-lug phone dials on my FC. But since I want to upgrade to four-piston calipers I think I'll need a 15" wheel at the bare minimum - more than likely I'll pick up a set of BBS RS wheels from the convertible, bite the bullet, and go five-lug.

    Awesome!! Thanks for sharing

The Epsilons really look stunning, Can't go wrong w/ 80s mesh on an FC.
