    oxygen sensor for air/fuel ratio

    has anyone installed an oxygen sensor for their carburetor type engines? i searched the net for this. it says it'll aid me in tuning my carb.

    Get a wideband system:

    AEM Uego

    Innovate LC-1(with gauge)

    These types of oxygen sensors are able to output a wider range (resolution) / more precise measurements of the air/fuel ratio. Most stock sensors are called narrow bands, as they only output rich or lean of 14.7:1 (stochiometric optimal gasoline to air ratio), while still helpful... a wideband is a much better tuning tool.

    I use a Techedge wideband in mine. Very handy and makes quick work of setting up a carb.
    You can see the TE unit in the lower right corner near the firewall.
    I do not have any pics of the display.

    it seems that both are way off my budget... do you know a setup that's more from the ghetto.
