    my ol´skool 72-74 carinas

    I´m newbie in here. I´ve been looking for awhile, but now I thought to post my carinas here.

    1. 1972 TA12 carina with 3S-GE engine + 6-manual from altezza.

    2. 1973 TA12 carina with turbocharged 2T, my first car.

    Yes,they where always very popular here,and the popularity continued when the Avensis took over.I remember the first generation was one of my favourite cars when I was a little boy (born in 1971),although I can't recall ever seeing a hatdtop model.

    Love the 3SGE Carina. We never got that car, love the colour/shape and the engine transplant. Well done

    Thank you, sedans were common, now those are mostly rusted away. Hardtop is JDM and I really believe that mine is only one in europe. I have seen pics of other HT´s outside Japan. One is in Australia, TA3* series HT (facelift model, which came around 1976, longer wheelbase etc) and one TA or RA1* GT have been in russia in 1984, seen picture of that.
    That is my dream car, I searched it over 15 years, before I got it.

    Nice cars!!! What size tires are on the Blue one? Beautiful stance on both! Did you do these cars yourself or buy them this way! :tu:
