    78 Gemini Sedan

Unfortunately, just after finishing my DOHC Gemini [few threads lower] i had the misfortune of having a decent accident in it. Bonnet flipped up into the roof at 100kmh and made a pretty bad mess of things. Have since sold that car to my dad who will be rebuilding it back to stock and all the DOHC gear will be going into my new aquisition....

Stock as a rock 1.6L Auto, im the third owner from new. The previous owners had it for 15yrs and in the past 5 its only covered 4000km.

Thanks dude. The aim with this one is to keep it looking standard on the outside but hopefully get it running in the mid 14 second bracket over the 1/4 all while naturally aspirated. Also hoping to do a few motorkhana/hill climbs in it, i think i might need a different wheel/tyre combo for that one though.

Ok, some old updates some new. Got the ECU remapped a while back, made 82kw atw, or 112hp at the wheels in the US measure. Not bad for a standard engine based in the 70's ay, considering the only mods were the ecu, exhaust and a bigger throttle body. Just to piss off the Toyota-philes its more then iv eseen from modified 2TG's and 18RG's....now where is the emoticon for the middle finger....

Unfortunately, unsure why but it lost oil pressure [maybe it was the fact that it was seeing the 7000rpm rev limiter every day?] and consequently spun a bearing. So, like deja vu, im at this point again...

    Insult to injury...

    MX5 seats

Just a teaser on whats going in. Yes its a SOHC, no its not going to be standard....

Yeah yeah but the Toyota-philes are still running 7000rpm all day with-out spun bearings

Nah, just givin' ya shit! - Sweet car, what are the plans with this new engine?
