    Factory Stereo Repair?

Does anyone where I can get the stereo/cassette deck of the ol' Cressy wagon repaired? I've gone through about 3-4 junkyard ones and they always break after a few months. :x

The culprit is usually the switch that changes from stereo to tape mode when it detects the insertion of a cassette. That and the backlighting of the LCD screen.

I know I could have bought a bangin' head unit by now but I want the int to look all stock and I'm in love with the array of glowing buttons on the equalizer.

This place is local to me. I can't say I've ever used them for anything other than speedometer calibration.

even if the tape deck gets repeard they usaly dont stay good for a long time, they might also start eating your tapes. best bet would be to use a 3.5 mp3 tape adapter (if it still recives the tape) and a haigh line input to rca low line adapter to hook up some amps and keep your eq..

I'm looking for a radio dial bulb for my old panasonic car radio. The bulb has a code that looks like E049? ?= V1, M, or N. Anyone know the modern equivalent of this sub miniature wedge base type of light bulb?

Sometimes, if you call them up and tell them that you really want to use the OEM unit, their Japanese repair guys will have some knowlege and can get the unit fixed. Try it. You will get turned down but keep pushing.
