    My '73 808

Here is a pic of my 1973 Mazda 808 the day I picked it up.

It is pretty rotten especially underneath, and you can see someones crummy attempt at fixing the visible rust. It is very complete though.

It will be a restomod car, and will end up with rotary power and a lot of cues from 70s japanese racecars! Sorry to the purists, you won't like what I'm about to do to this car!

I consider myself a purist, but if the mods are period correct style, I'm all for it. Good score!

Nearly four years later I'm finally getting started on this project.

Have the car mostly stripped down. Found a bit of rust.

Small update. Car is pretty stripped down now. There is still a bit of trim, wiper linkage, and the suspension left to remove. I've started piecing together a motor setup as I will need it soon for mock up. Will add pictures as that comes together.

Holy shit!, that's a fair bit of rust on the floor pan, not to mention the chassis rails. All very repairable though, looking forward to seeing more pics of the progress, good luck with it.

It is way beyond the scope of my skills/patience to repair this car... I have much different plans for it

As it sits today. I got the chassis table (not a very good one i know) leveled out. Next is to get the car leveled and mounted to the chassis table.
