    5M aftermarket weber/holley/etc options?

    Hey guys,
ive searched and searched to no avail, so I thought I would just start a thread.
I've got a 77 mx32 Cressida, which has been fitted with a 5M engine. It goes great, but having some problems with the stock carby set up (as well as having 50 million ugly and unnessessary hoses and tangled mess hanging off the side)

I'm wondering if there's any options for an aftermarket carby setup for this engine?? (something old school cool, similar to a triple weber set up etc would be rad) anything at all, I really want to get rid of this stock set up and clean up the engine bay as much as I can.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated

    Kez

Back then there was someone on Classicrown that mentioned one of the Weber carbs that was pretty much bolt on with little modification to the insulator plate holes. I don't remember which model Weber it was though.

Yes that would have been me way back then lol.As you are from Aus like me then this should be easy.Find a Weber from either an XE or XF Falcon,Im unsure off the top of my head what size it is but all you need to do is enlarge or slot the bolt holes to suit the M manifold,Change the manifold studs for longer studs or if your lucky to get the Falcon manifold as well, use the studs from this as they are metric like the M manifold.NO ADAPTER IS REQUIRED.Then its throttle linkage setup which I cant tell you how to do as this was done on a 40 series Crown and Re-Jetting.
    Cheers Brett.

That's incredible. But... where would one get a proper intake manifold for such a set-up? Did HKS make one?

Yeah, HKS made a whole setup for the 5M. It uses special cams and a rear mount cam driven distributor.

This guy has the full setup.
