    RA64 refresh

I own two third generation Celicas, a 1982 and 1985 both GTs. I bought the '82 early last year and the '85 later in the year. The '85 was driven daily and is in great mechanic condition and even has a functioning A/C. I've only replaced the shocks and struts so far. There is are some rust spots on the '85 and considerable cancer on the left fender. Being the '85 is in the better condition. I used the fender from the '82 to repair it.

Fender comparison; notice the rusted out areas on the bottom fender and it looked worse from the underside; there are small differences between them, but very minor

    After the swap

I will be freshening up the suspension soon. More pictures to come soon (I hope).

I notice that your '85 is the silver over gunmetal two-tone factory paint. I think this is the first or second Celica other than my own that has the same paint code.

    Good stuff! :tu:

Until I looked it up, I wondered if it was a factory color.

2U1 is the code if memory serves correctly. I think it comprises of 136 and 148. I've never seen another Celica in Australia with the same paint and only a couple of terrible quality images out of the US.

PS: If it's a coupé, it's even more awesome. :tu:

    Re: RA64 refresh

I started work on changing out my suspension bushings but it was more work than I had anticipated. I will try again once the weather improves. I've kept busy by checking things under the hood and cleaning the engine bay. My work isn't as impressive as some of the work I've seen on the forum but it looks good to me.

Keep up the good work, I love the coupes! Pretty cool that it has rear window louvers. Did those come with the car?
