    1983 Suzuki Hatch 800cc

    Hi guys,

Been a long time since I posted on here. Work commitments and the purchase of a new house has definitely taken it's toll on my play time.

Just wanted to share some pic's of my new addition to the collection. As I sit here and type this post, this little baby is on the back of a truck making it's way across Australia.

I'm not going to type any more info for now, just let the pic's do the talking (Pic's taken are from the seller, I will add more once I take delivery)

    Regards
    Dave

What? Not Alto or Fronte, just 'Hatch'? AND a digital odometer? Very cool purchase!

Thanks for the kind comments guys. It can only be a matter of days now before I get the phone call from the transport company to let me know it has arrived at the depot. Can't wait till I get to pick it up.

    Regards
    Dave

Hi Michiel, Suzuki Australia did not use the Alto nameplate until the later model. They were simply sold as the Suzuki Hatch, as a commercial vehicle (no rear seats) and managed to avoid import tariffs.

The VX was the deluxe version, which meant it picked up the nicer cloth trim and also the digital speedometer. I'm hoping I can pick up an original sales brochure for the model I have just purchased, just to find out exactly what was additional in the VX model.

    Regards
    Dave

Thanks for the info, I hadn't really noticed the missing rear seats... again, cool car, over here they are rarely this clean!

Holy Jesus, that's extremely tidy! I have the workshop manual for this, in PDF form if you need it?
