    My 1972 Carina TA-12 project

New to the site and just found a '72 Carina TA-12. I had the exact same year and model when I was in high school and have wanted to build another one almost sense I sold the first one. I put a 2T-G in my first one and this time it will be getting a 4A-GZE.
This car needs some body work, but it's not too bad. I'm hoping I can find a master weather seal kit for it, lower it an inch or two, etc, etc.
Here are some pics of the new project and as soon as I can get them scanned I'll post up some pics of my first Carina.

Nice starting point you got there. Glad to see the Carina's finally getting some love. For a while there I was the lone Carina Ranger in these parts. Now there are about 4 or 5 of them.

PERTANO, thanks. I'm looking forward to getting one of the few remaining Carinas back on the road.
Made a little progress the last few days.
Going to have to start looking for aT50 trans. I think I want to go with an early trans and later bell housing to keep the shifter in the same position.

Made somemore progress today. Engines and trans out and a little degreasing. After I finish pulling for of the stuff I don't need out I'll go after it with the pressure washer.

Found a hide-a-key that nobody has seen for a very long time.

    Anyone need a 2TC and 4spd trans? $100

Don't have any new updates, been busy with work. Had to fly out to Ohio to do the final inspection on this baby....

Once we take delivery I'll be busy for a few weeks mounting equipment. After that I'll get back to the Carina.

There's a Toyota Land Cruiser fire truck that had been making the for sale rounds a couple of months ago... that would have been a fantastic car to have.

This post just reminded me of it
