Hiroshima SAbortion - gangster rap made me do it

 So I've been living in the UK for over a year now and it seems to be, I just cant get Mazda's out of my system! after catching up with some fellow likeminded enthusiasts one thing led to another and I ended up going half's in a S1 SA rx7 ( some might be interested in knowing that only the S1 has the SA prefix, where S2 S3 is FB here)

story goes - previous owner restored the car a few years back, NOS rear quarters, any rot was cut out etc and sprayed in the classic go fast red finish, engine was rebuilt and everything was rad. nek minut owner had a dispute with oweing money or something and someone came around and decided to use a axe on the car  resulting in an insurance claim, fucked car and sitting in a wreckers waiting to be crushed..

this is were myself and Chud swept in, saw a bargain and gave her a second chance 8)

one of the good things about the UK is dashes are never cracked and rarely tampered with for cd players etc!

    passenger side glass smashed

    clean and striped

glass out and happy to find no damage to the actual structure of the car

fixing the roof like ive seen on gypsys build thread

    sorted

next up came the interior, picked up these t11 rx7 seats with rails for just under 50AUD 8) and also got a mint black s2 interior for free to complete the missing parts of the car, just needs a good clean but you get the picture

    more to come

cheers, rear is perfect, fronts need to come down a tad ad spacers are needed, have to remember I built these wheels for the 808 coupe, which funnily enough needs spacers or smaller inner barrels. anywho, these wheels are 7.5s and 9s easily could go 8.5s and 10s on a rx7 8)

cheers beans, been a while ay! ive been checking your thread everynow and then, hurry up its been over a year since paint

im really loving this car, ive got the balls out resto style and tbh its a pain driving around, watching your back for shit drivers etc, this car I don't care! any new dings is only going to add character! at this stage no return date, im thinking ill return end of next year, maybe, dunno

:tu: the little sticker on the rim lip is a nice touch!

Yeah I'm slow huh! Actually it got to me for a while, my goals for a finish date slipped by, I was in a bit of a financially forced slow period with the car but hope to get progressing soon! Kinda wished I had done a nice street 4 link rear prior to paint but now I'm just itching to turn the key and hear it run!

Nice. I enjoyed driving in the UK (although I only drove in Scotland). I found British drivers are way more courteous than Aussie ones. Just keep the hell out of the right hand lane though!

How'd you score a job over there? Economy still in the tip?

What offset are the rears though?

    I have 8j -8 on mine and I wouldn't go any bigger.

Also, you'll run into troubles lowering the front, LCA's WILL foul on the crossmember if you go too low. I'm going to make custom front LCA's to get around it.
