    insuring a imported car?

    I'm striking out on anyone who will insure my minicab, or lancers. I'm just curious of anyone else who has a 80s ride insured in the states. Who are you going through if you dont have a 167digit vin. Even haggerty denied me... My cars arent classic enough.

    Just a update, it seems geico will insure non standard vins. JUST GOT MY MINICAB AND LANCER INSURED. off to the dmv for a trip permit, while i WAIT FOR TRANSLATED DOCUMENTS TO FULLY REGISTER

    When I lived in WA the state gave me a new vin on my former cedric 130.

    i TRIED OVER THE POE, THE LADY GAVE ME SOME CRAP ABOUT NOT INSURING FEDERALLY non epa cars. I tried to explain to her she was retarded and that I had paperwork in my hand saying it was exempt.

    I have mine with ten digit vin insured with state farm no prob also check geico and if you call for a quote use referral 155649 I'll love you forever
