    Toyota 7 racecar

Does anyone know where I can find more information on this engine?

Google is failing pretty hard for me. Only thing I can deduce is that it was a 3V block with one-off DOHC heads by Yamaha but I'd like to confirm. Thanks!

Try this, not sure if it talks about the engine though - The Young Soldiers and Toyota 7. There are three parts, so make sure to check them all.

Thanks for the link. Didn't give me an abundance of information, other than (from what I understood) it was the 5 liter V8 that was DOHC. Not sure if they took the V block and just bored the hell out of it (102mm!) considering the original was a 78mm x 68mm according to wikipedia

Sigh wish there was more information. If I were to ever go V8 in one of my Toys, it would have be this engine, or as close to it as possible. I LOVE the classic look of those valve covers. It's like two 18RGs mated and made this beauty!

too much different from a 3v-5v engine... for one spark plug spacing... for a 2nd the whole front cover is different

Weren't all the Yamaha-DOHC-head-adapted engines using different covers than their pushrod counterparts?

    I have no

Admittedly my Toyota engine knowledge begins about 1980ish... I know a tiny bit about the 5M, a bit more about the 1G, and quite a bit about the A

Oh, and similarity of spark plug placement would be meaningless if you're building all new heads.
