    1984 RX7

Hi, I just posted in the introduction forum. I want to start a light restoration thread and document some of the work as I go.

    1984 RX7 with 48,000 miles

13" Enkei wheels. I'm going to get some sticky modern tires for these wheels and keep the originals. Ill polish them and repaint the centers a medium grey.

Nice! I will be keeping an eye on this one. Looks like a nice car to start with. Looks beautiful in black.

Interior is pretty clean. This was a photo from a few years ago. There is a little more sun damage now but still clean.

Some replacement parts I found on E-bay.....

    love N.O.S.

Have to find a original shift knob. Anyone have a red one?

I also have some new door handle cups that are new. I have a new radio surround to replace the original cracked one. I'm looking for the factory radio or a slightly modern silver radio that looks similar to the stock one.

I wouldn't say there is more sun damage now, just that picture hides it a little.

For those on here that recognize the car it was mine, sold it to good hands though!

Wow what a gem. Reminds me of my first FB! My dad bought it in 94 from a family friend who bought it new in 85, then passed it to me. I sold it for $2500 stupid move! But then I bought an 85 GSL-SE after that, so it wasnt all bad i suppose.

SEM Burgundy 15063 is a 95% color match to the factory. I recently resto'd my interior with it. Will post pics soon. Be sure to surface-prep by washing, using vinyl or plastic prep, adhesion promoter, then THIN coats of the color spray.

Love those wheels and tires - they dont make the Radial T/A's in 13 any more - cherish those whil you gots 'em!
