how to remove hood cowl (think thats what its called

    I have a 71 toyota corona.

there is a vented area right behind the hood and infront of the window. It has the wipe motor in there, it has 2 vents on it and is made of metal. How do I remove this. I looked and I don't see any bolts, it looks like it has rivets but they are round and dont look like regular rivets. Is this area tack welded on or just bolted.

Pictures? If its like mine you cant. There are 3 small "windows" under the hood on mine that you unbolt and do maintenance from there...
