      Re: CRX mugen resurection

      thanks ...
      ok !!
when I finished all the body, we started the paint..
that's not my cup of tee (to boring) but if you want to have a the best restoration...
      you must to do it...
so I put my car on the oven ,after having all sanded and degreased...
      I put all the sealer

      after anti gravel coat

      and in last the paint...

Looking killer. 8) It's going to be fun bolting nice new parts up to that fresh white shell.

You can't imagine how many N.O.S parts I have found for this car 8)
the parts come from almost all over the world (New.Zealand ,Japan, USA, Sweden , UK, France, Switzerland ...)

              Re: CRX mugen resurection

no, I going to use a fiberglass or carbon sunroof panel ...
in Europe we didn't receive the body without sunroof :?

              I continue my description....
after the engine bay and the floor, we painted the interior

and at last, the rest of the body....

the body with the famous Mugen's stripes
              in the owen

              out (cloudy day)

                          Re: CRX mugen resurection

i used to own a 86 crx a couple years ago, it was my first car. unfortunately it was totaled by another driver shortly after getting it. i miss that car more then any i have ever owned and i am on the search for another one at the moment. its so nice to see someone going through so much effort to do not only a full restoration, but to build an amazingly detailed replica. i love it, keep up the good work man

                            I fitted the engine,with a weber side draft 45 DCOE 8)
as the genuine car (after ,they changed this system against Mikuni's side draft )
here it is the first start..

Between this build and the "Daytona #7" RX-7 in the Mazda subforum, I feel like the bar is getting raised for my little Celica.
