    • I probably missed it but can you post up some work you've done on Toyota K series engines--3K, 4K? I'm interested to compare your work to mine in a friendly, exchange of ideas type of thing. Any pics of combustion chamber work? What do you think about adding 1mm oversized valves to these heads? I know, and have on hand, the correct oversize valves-- and I know it's done frequently but it really looks like a tight fit when both valves are closed. Feel free to PM me if this derails your thread.

Your work on 4AG heads closely mirrors mine.

      Thanks John

I've only worked on one K head, and it was a 4KE, and it was 5 years ago - http://www.hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20475 - I know a bit more these days

How close? O/S valve typically will require new O/S valve seats not only to accommodate the larger valves, but also the larger port size you will be opening the ports too.

                  • With the 5MGE. Am I right in assuming that it's a round-port head? I would think the D-ported heads have a more pronounced D shape. If so then why use a head that is considered my many, if not all, in the MA61 community to be a worse flowing head?

Anyway, great work. I think I learned a fair bit by reading this thread.

This was a round port head....

As I understand it the 2 piece manifold is either "D" or round, at the head the ports are round... but I could be wrong... as I said my client gave me this head
