With the recent discovery of black market JNC Stamp stickers, a lot of interest was drummed up about the JNC Stamp logo. The most popular question we’ve received is something along the lines of “Why did you change the sticker dammit, I liked the old one better!” Well, I’m here to provide you with some answers. There’s (a little) method to the madness here at JNC, so I’ll do my best to explain.

With the release of the Series 3 JNC Stamp sticker and the recent launch of our Facebook Fanpage, we thought now would be a good time to have another contest. All you have to do is take a picture of your JNC sticker in a cool place or in a cool way. We’ll periodically choose winners who will receive replacement stickers and if the photo is particularly good, we’ll send the winner something extra special. Also, the winner’s photo will appear in the photo contest album on our Facebook page. There’s only two rules:
- Your photo must contain at least one JNC sticker. Series 1-3 are welcome.
- Your photo must be posted in this thread on our forum.
Happy snapping!

Look what we spotted on our Facebook page – someone tagged JNC in a pic of a car sporting a fake series 1 JNC sticker! The picture hails from Indonesia, so we don’t have any solid info on the counterfeit piece but the most popular theory here at JNC is that an underground Indonesian crime syndicate is making millions by printing and selling these phony stickers to unsuspecting nostalgic enthusiasts in dark alleys and abandoned garages.
If you think a friend or family member might have fallen victim to Fake Sticker Syndrome (FSS), send a picture of the suspected sticker to feedback(at)japanesenostalgiccar(dot)com and our team of experts will pour over every detail, and notify you of the diagnosis. If the worst case scenario turns out to be true, seek help immediately. With proper treatment (available here) even the most severe cases are curable.

Surely you have noticed the Japanese cell phone strap craze. Why you’d want a bouquet of plastic cartoon characters dangling from your mobile, we do not know. But if you’re looking for a cell deco with an automotive theme, peep these Japanese license plates.
They’re available in six styles, including gold for “VIP.” You can select the issuing city and four numbers, which is all the space a Japanese license plate has. Vanity plates in Japan typically consist of the car’s chassis code, so if you cruise around town in a TE27, the plate would read “. . 27″.

Our friends at Import Bible have released another Series 2 shirt that is sure to appeal to nostalgists. The front says “OG” in big red letters and on the back, a closeup of a hakosuka grille. Killer! You can buy them here.

More T-shirts featuring old Japanese cars are popping up all over the place. Normally they’re all the popular models from Nissan and Toyota, leaving kei car fans a bit left out. But thanks to JNCer xemoto, here’s one of a Honda N600! It’s part of a series that also features a Subaru 360, BRE Datsun 510 leading an Alfa Romeo, and a whole host of other European microcars.

We were browsing the web for images of nostalgics and stumbled upon this great series of T-shirts with pictures of our favorite cars on them. Then we realized that they were drawn by a JNCer who goes by the name lisasdecals! Check them out on Zazzle.

Being the graphic designer type, Van runs in some pretty creative circles. That’s how he spotted this series of positively righteous artwork from NoCarNoLife. However, we’ve locked the Vanster in a dungeon until he finishes the layout for JNC Issue 2, so he can’t post on this news himself.
Apparently, these beauteous renderings are intended for appearance on shirts, though the links on website seem to be dead. However, you can see the rest of the collection on NoCarNoLife’s Flickr Photostream. Let’s hope they get the site sorted soon, cause where else are you gonna get a T-shirt with a Datsun 610 or 710 on it? Of course, standard fare like the Celica, 510 and TE27 Corolla above are also available. For you 80s fans, there’s designs like the R30 and A60 Supra. If you like what you see, why not show them some support by letting them know how eager you are to order one?
UPDATE: Check out deadflo’s comments to this post. Be careful when ordering from this seller. We will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was not ready to deal with orders yet. Thanks for letting us know, deadflo!

Someone over at this T-shirt site must love Land Cruisers because they have at least 3 shirts dedicated to the old Toyota workhorse. Our favorite one is this one pictured, even though we’re not really sure what it says. The second of the big words on top is “kuruiseru” (though the actual Japanese should read クルーザー) but we’re at a loss for the others. We were simply sold by the tag line “Which way to Mt. Fuji?” The creator sure knows his Cruisers, which in 1951, were the first vehicles ever to reach the sixth stage of the famous Japanese mountain.
UPDATE: We got an email from the T-shirt’s maker, Tim McGrath, who writes that the shirt is meant to say “Fuji Cruiser” and “Japan” but found out later that the Japanese was wrong. He laughs it off, though, telling us, “Oh well. I thought it was kinda funny like those bad English shirts you would see in Japan.” There’s more coming too, including the FJ45 short bed, and FJ43. Thanks, Tim!
