These low-res scans of an early 1970’s Toyota publicity brochure tell an unbelievable story: “To heck with a Land Cruiser; we’re tackling the frozen wastes of Greenland in the New Carina!”

Toyotageek – Not to be a buzzkill, but Dan and I have a very ill family member we are visiting in the hospital. We have spotty internet connection at the hospital and Matt Burabuda has been kind enough to step in!
Thanks! I should add that we wanted Matt to impart is wisdom on us even before this emergency took place and think he’ll make a great permanent fixture around these parts.

Haha… And I thought the publicity stunt of entering a Carina TA60 privately in Paris Dakar was already a harsh treatment for the Carina:

Haha! That is too cool! Literally
Looks like another obscure bit of Toyota literature (and history) that I need to keep my eyes open for!

Now that looks like a good time! If you want to freeze your arse off like I’m doing in NYC right now, you might as well have fun!

@Matt – who’s Matt? lol Do we have a new contributor to the Blog, or did I miss intros somewhere? lol

That is another piece of history. That is to show us how reliable Toyotas were in the past as in the present.
