Jamie,

That's true. It's mainstream sedans are pretty fug, although the new Maxima ain't too bad. But I don't know if I'd call cars like the new Honda Accord and Subaru Impreza an improvement. :)

Ben. Yes, there are some ok vehicles in the lineup, but I consider the Infinity line a luxurious line that receives better attention and detail from Nissan executives.
The Armada truck is ok because of it's big size, it's shear size gives it allure. Reduce that truck to a mini p/u truck size and it would not be attractive.
I am most concerned about the vehicles within reach of most of the public, the passenger cars. The Altima, Maxima, Sentra and Versa are weird looking. That ugly grille/headlamp format and overall strange shape gives these cars an ugly duckling connotation.
The Nissan Sentra, which should be an appealing vehicle to young drivers, 1st new vehicle owners, college students, and a great family car is weird. All the entry level cars from brands like Mazda, Toyota, Subaru, Honda easily surpass the Sentra in good looks, and this has been going on since the last Sentra model.
The Maxima and the Altima....same strange looking front end....same weird shapes.....the impression it gives me is of a company trying hard to become the company with the weirdest ( if not ugliest ) cars.

I do not want to sound mean, I just hope Nissan opens it's eyes and take note. It hurts to see this company going deeper and deeper, years after years, models after models, and there isno end in it's free fall.

While I agree with Nissan's poor management, I'd have to say there are a few good-looking cars in the lineup - all the trucks - Frontier, Pathfinder, Armada - look pretty good, as do the Infiniti FX and JDM Cube, March and Elgrand.

I hope Nissan reads my post.
I like Datsun cars, but I do not like Nissan. Nissan Management is a disgrace, and Nissan cars of today are , ( with the exception of the Nissan 350Z ) the ugliest cars on the block.
Nissan has failed to communicate and learn from its customers and clients ( unlike Honda, Mazda , Subaru and Toyota ) and continues a wanton path into manufacturing ugly vehicles with total disregard to the needs and expectations of the loyal, and EX loyal Nissan followers.
I like Datsun, and long for the days when Datsun was a top of the line, both in luxurious vehicles, sports vehicles and commercial vehicles worldwide.
Todays Nissans are for sure the ugliest cars in the import scene. Wake up Nissan!!!!!
Major re structuring and a massive lay off program for the little minded management in office is in serious need of implementation.
Make no mistake, today's Nissan has no comparison to former Datsun.

Yup, you can thank Mr. Bean for cutting costs left and right and Nissan high-tailing it to Nashville. Or maybe he's just a country music fan....
