Mazda Cosmo Sports are rare already, but this particular specimen has the added provenance of being a show car. According to the seller, it was displayed at the Mazda booth at the 1968 Paris Auto Salon. Additionally, this is an export model and is badged a Mazda 110S rather than a Cosmo Sport.
Since then it’s made its way to Berkshire, UK in what appears to be a Mazda specialist shop. It’s also received an engine and transmission swap somewhere along the way, with a 13B in place of the original 10A. Unfortunately, some modifications to the engine bay an transmission tunnel had to be made to fit the new powertrain, and the seller admits that it could use a refresh. As a result, this would be a good candidate for a fiery red daily driven alternative to the pristine white museum pieces out there, as our friends at Bring a Trailer posit.
The asking price is £18,000.00, or just under $30,000 USD. Shipping not included.
