You know Rocky Auto, the famous Japanese tuner known for his radical takes on classic Nihon steel. When it came time to build his ultimate creation, a 2JZ-powered Toyota 2000GT, however, the originals were too rare and valuable to modify. So founder Yoshiya “Rocky-san” Watanabe hand built some 2000GTs from scratch.
Behold, the Rocky Auto 3000GT, which looks like a 2000GT but is powered by a one of the world’s strongest engines, the Toyota 3.0-liter 2JZ found in the Supra and many Lexus cars. In this showcase video, the cars — including a convertible version like the one in You Only Live Twice — take to the streets of Nagoya. Accompanied by the dulcet tones of Gran Turismo loading screen smooth jazz, it’s a sight to behold.
Also in hybrid apparently.
I just want to know how much for a 3000GT and can I have one in America, or do I need to keep it in a garage in Japan. 🙁
Yeah but, the convertible does not come with Kissy Suzuki !
